The Alegre International Film Festival takes place in the city of Alegre, in the southern interior of Espírito Santo, gateway to Caparaó. Caparaó is a region formed by the municipalities surrounding Caparaó National Park, characterized by its strong relationship with culture and nature, and by the identification of its people with the territory they inhabit.

The festival offers an encounter with contemporary cinema, valuing voices, experiences, and aesthetics from Brazil and abroad. It seeks short films that explore new languages, inventive narratives, and cultural experiences, bringing artists and audiences closer to Caparaó. The festival aims to revive the atmosphere of the city's cultural events, which historically brought together audiences of different ages.

By promoting encounters between different aesthetic and narrative universes, it celebrates Brazilian production and opens space for dialogue with international films, offering the public a program that provokes, excites, and stimulates reflection.
